Tallahassee Fitness Festival Event Information
A one day opportunity to experience the latest exercise classes, home gym equipment, and health and nutrition products. Guests will also have the opportunity to learn about health and nutrition through "power" presentations by industry experts. Over 100 local and national vendors will conduct FREE health screenings, provide FREE health and fitness information and FREE product samples. Valuable door prizes will be awarded every 30 minutes.
An interactive Kids Korner will provide activities tailored to children under the age of 12.
The Tallahassee and surrounding community will have the opportunity to recognize the best local fitness and health care professionals by voting online for The FIT Awards. The FIT Award will be provided to those who exemplify Fitness, Inspiration and Training within their respective profession.
The Tallahassee Fitness Festival will expose guests to a genre of physical activities, health and nutrition options, and information that will improve their quality of life. Come on, let's help Tallahassee get fit!!

KIDZ KORNER
The Kidz Korner represents the best in children's health informationand activities. Both adults and kids will enjoy learning about creative
activities that instill an overall healthy lifestyle. Interactive games,
exercise stations and education materials will be available.
POWER PRESENTATIONS
What is BMI? How can I prevent osteoporosis? What foods offer thebest health benefits? These questions and more are provided through
POWER Presentations. Four powerful presentations on health, fitness
and nutrition will be available for attendees to learn the latest
information from industry experts. Each 20 minute presentation will
also include an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.
The FIT Awards
And the winner is? The Tallahassee and surrounding community willvote for the best fitness instructors, and experts in health and
nutrition who exemplify Fitness, Inspiration and Training (FIT). Voting
will take place online through the Tallahassee Fitness Festival web
site (www.TallyFitnessFestival.com) between August 1 and October
31. The winners in the Best Fitness Instructor categories will receive
an award, recognition, and the opportunity to conduct an exercise
class at the festival. FIT Award winners will be announced at the Tallahassee Fitness Festival Kick-off Party & Press Conference in November 2009.
Fit Floor
Lace up those sneakers, it's time to exercise! The FIT Floor is a high energy area dedicated to encouraging attendees to try the hottest exercise classes. Five workout classes will be offered on the Fit Floor including High Impact, Targeted Body, Serenity. Attendees will enjoy these fun 20 minute exercise classes lead by those instructors who won the Fitness Festival Fit Award.
Healthy Eats Cooking Stage
Wondering how to eat healthy without losing all your favorite snacks? Need recipes for healthier options for the family? Take a seat at the Healthy Eats Cooking stage where you can sample some of the best foods and cooking equipment to get you in line with a nutritious lifestyle. Guests will have an opportunity to sample foods from five food experts and ask questions regarding menus, recipes, nutrition and more.
